Construction of an extension Building for Production and Logistics

In Roye (80), Saint Louis Sucre has a site specializing in sugar packaging. The company belongs to the German group Züdzucker, the largest sugar company in the world.

In 2016, the group decided to increase its production capacity. In addition, for the markets concerned, the site must be equipped with a re-packaging line requiring the construction of a building extension of 1250m².

The architect of this extension is ACT-U. The project management assistance has been entrusted to ERAS and the construction to CATHELAIN.

As part of this project with a budget of 1.4 million euros, I intervened from the pre-project to define the needed surface and the choice of implementation. With the support of a collaborator, we wrote the specifications and launched the tender, stripped by the Purchasing Department.

JI then took care of the follow-up of this project since the deposit of the building permit, the declarations to the various authorities, until the final reception of the building.

In addition to the regulatory aspects inherent in this type of project, I have particularly focused on the issue of safety on site and that of the risks associated with co-operation with the ongoing operation of the site.

The construction was very little delayed, the budget was mastered, no accident was deplored.
